My American WW2 USAAF Tours can be tailored to suit and last from a minimum of 2 days through to 5 days. Over two million American airmen passed through the UK during WW2 and these tours are very popular with those wishing to follow in the footsteps of their ancestors. Many of the airfields survive and are mainly situated within 75 miles of London in Essex, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Hertfordshire. The tour visits the Cambridge American Military Cemetery and the Imperial War Museum at Duxford. Itineraries for this tour vary greatly due to the sheer amount of places available to visit. There’s also the OSS (forerunner of the CIA) airfields and bases that make for fascinating exploration. Please contact me for further details and after discussion I can put together an itinerary to suit. The outstanding countryside of Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk make for a fantastic tour where visits to old pubs where the airmen frequented and signed the walls, lots of great history. This is where the brave young men ate, slept, drank and flew from in WW2.
